Curiosity is that in DMC4 there is something called Wing Talisman which contains Crystallized Angel Wing, but I think this wing could also belong to a demon that looks angelic just like sealed, angelic demon from the Devil May Cry 3 manga (there it was suggested that demons could once have been angels).
However, there is no real division between good and evil in this series (angels and demons), no balance like yin-yang. I guess this game wanted to show that devils can become good too, such as Sparda, because it was often presented that an angel can become the fallen one (demon), but nothing is black-and-white here, so this series is a bit different in this aspect.
Angels and demons are what people think non-human.
DMC 4 example:
Credo: I have been chosen to take the next step in evolution, to become something far more than just human. I am an angel!
Nero: Wrong, Credo. All that you've become is a demon.
It could be ( another speculations ) that demons lived with humans in peace on the earth. For some reason they have become evil and bingo we have fallen demons who are in the demon world
