How are the mods?
I already have the Steelbook Deluxe Pre-Order Edition for PS4 + Vergil, PS5 Special Edition with RayTracing (Meh) but the most important thing is 120HZ + Legendary Dark Knight + Turbo and HDR, with over 1k Hours.

Now i am asking, how are the mods on PC? This is one of my favorite games, EVER.
I mean, the whole Franchise is gold, mainline games.

So my question is... Are mods easy to install? Now it's not that i CAN'T do complex stuff on PC, i'll rather keep it simple. Is there a REFramework Injector for Mods, for, dunno Legendary Dark Knight and Play as any Character on any Map? Or do i have to run some Cheat Engine BS in the background like Ninja Gaiden 2 did.

You don't need CE. You use mod manager like in RE and move files into folders. There is REFramework mod but most mods don't use that. Some older mods don't work with the current version and you need to get older exe.

Ah damn, i found some mods i would like, mainly SSSiyan's Collaborative Cheat Trainer.
Shame it's not in the game, but rather a separate application which i have to launch every time i want to play the game. It contains most things i want, like Turbo, LDK, Inertia, etc.

Guess i'll maybe settle for DMCV again. Thinked long and hard what i wanted to buy. A new game, or the same game again, with mods.

^ No you move the SSSiyan thing into your mod folder and it launches with the game. Or at least the older version does.

Oh, nice! Thank you. That makes it a lot easier.
Decided to grab it, along with HD Collection, Already got DMC4: Special Edition (Even tho i own all of the games twice, now thrice).

I tried to use the Mod With Fluffy Manager and REFramework.
REFramework and other mods work fine, but this one crashes the game at startup.

I don't know why, it's updated to the latest version, and i have no intention of "Downgrading" my game .exe if that should be the case. It's the only reason i bought the game on PC.

Go the game's directory and find a file called dmc5config.ini. Open it and change every mention of DirectX11 to DirectX12. If it's already DirectX12 then change it to DirectX11. Then make the file to be Read-only. That's how I fixed my start up crashes with the trainer. Hopefully you have the same issue.

The downgrade doesn't remove any content. It was one of those mini patches that did literally nothing but break mods. You can find the link in the mod comments.

Yeah, it works in DX11, however DX11 gives me 20 FPS less. Which is huge trying to hit 240FPS on Max. Don't know why the hell it crashes in DX12. I tried turning all overlays off and everything else, no dice.

There's a decent catalogue on Nexus, as well as an installer. It doesn't work with Vortex.
There's a lot of silly mods.

Yeah, i saw a lot. Some worked fine, others didn't (Especially hair mods, either they break when you get blood/dirt/water on it, or they don't get bloodied)

This is my current "Lore Friendly" version. Anyway, great fun on PC. Legandary Dark Knights is a bit different than PS5, less balanced, but still great.

I had more, and some of them were total rehauled costumes. But i prefer those "default" but enhanced ones.
