Dante, Vergil's age: 19 (Dmc3), 41-42 (Dmc5)
Nero was between and is still between Vergil's age from DMC3. Yet he is still no match for them, Nero's raw power can be bigger but it doesn't make him better fighter than brothers were from Dmc3, and I said what traits are resposnible for it. He still can be defeated by them if it comes to fight "live or die.
A serious fight with Vergil would end with Nero's death, because Vergil has control over himself, also super speed, power, strength, experience, especially since Vergil fought constantly in hell. Although in this circumstance it was obvious that Vergil couldn't cope with his emotions during the fight with Nero in mission 20. He gave Nero a head start.
Nero: ♥♥♥♥ u!!!!!
Vergil: ...
Nero: Are you taking me seriously now!?
Vergil: No.
