Make a habit to do that, even if it doesn't come out frequently at first. Also practice a bit with the very first strike of your sword, keeping doing this in a combo can be dificult since the time to rev (by rev i mean pressing the exceed button) the sword changes if the attack coming out is already with exceed properties.
If i'm not mistaken, the right moment to press the exceed button is usually the moment the momentum of your sword swing ends.
Also you can Rev your air taunt if you time it well.
Thing is it's one of those cases where I can do them really well outside of combat, then once the ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan it all goes out the window. ha ha.
I'm sure I will be able to transfer it over to battles soon enough, but I'm only able to get b or c (I have gotten an S rating before, but I had auto on by mistake, ha ha) ratings during combat.
I wonder if remapping the controls might help. I just think it's a lot to have to hold down lock on tap the throttle, do a combo and time dodges all at once.
The only being able to dodge while locked (while it's always been like this) is not really ideal IMO, or at least the button placement.
I kept getting hit on the first boss as it's a lot to juggle, and half the time I'd jump instead of dodge and get hit.
Remapping exceed to L1 and gun to L2 works well for me, and it's comfortable.
I will try the other recommended change as well.
is RB R1 and then R1 would become R2?
exceed already is LB for me I think, I will check though. that's a good idea as well though if not.
I was also thinking for V that having the bird on Y and the cat onX would be better as you need to hold in the button for the bird to do it's AoE and it's weird holding X while doing combos on Y.
RB = R1
RT = R2
I put LB for exceed, LT for gun (use it on any downtime situation) RB lockon
I got the bird on LB for V so you can charge it easily while doing combos with whatever else.
thanks. I have that same set up now.
what is a good set up for V and Dante as well, please?
