the level design in DMC was masterful, upside-down worlds, amazing boss battles....I did not realize how good it was till I played this ....and it just confuses the hell out of me.
the chars in this installment so far are very stupid,....like not remotely funny. Super cringe worthy...
"she has a nice body...not that uh I was looking"
.....all the quotable lines are stupid af.
in the end people want fan-service over game-play? that's ridiculous
Yes, the level design was more innovative and creative in DmC, though no one really asked for or needed Devil May Cry to be a platformer. And if you want the combat to last longer so you can hear the music, then I suggest playing on a higher difficulty, there are lots of them if you actually get far enough in the game to see them.
The complaints about Dante's hair color were blown out of proportion by a game journalists who conveniently ignored every other criticism people had of the game. And if you're playing Devil May Cry for mature sophisticated humor, then you're kinda missing the point. The developers were aiming for stylish action scenes, strong characterisation, and fun plot twists, not political satire or deep philosophical themes.
For me V's companions responded very well on my commands and i like it how different hes combat was over the others that is quite similar.
As for different for dmc dmc and dmc 5, i like dmc 5 more since it continues the story of original series instead the reboot one. I don't think white hair is that important but its fits in dantes head better than brown or black what ever it was. As for gameplay, both was great in theyr own way, the only think that i didin't like was that you ware force to use a certain weapon in order to kill enemy.
No mouse icon and calls people that pay full price for games dumb.
For example: IIRC, the original DmC was very restrictive in regards to how you fought color coded enemies. That being it forcing you to use either "Devil" or "Angel" arm to be effective against them.
If you are comparing the present DmC to the present DMC5 on a pure gameplay premise it may be a bit premature. Esp as we don't even have bloody palace yet.
Some bosses on DMD are just epic fights.
You are judging the game too soon. It also felt a bit lacking to me in my first run. Now in DMD this is a pure gem.
Still, I agree about V being annoying (even though I love Shadow) and some levels being a bit bland compared with DMC4.
yeah they did not really go nearly as all out as they could have, love or hate DMC that game got level design down perfect.
uuhh sure generic cookie cutter floating islands better than actual meaningful and cohesive landscape? okay
To beat DMD you have to know your chars well and being able to perform advanced combos (oh well, or brute force it with gold gems).
Thats why on DMD this game shows it true potential, you face tough as nails enemies and you use all your techniques to beat them.
In DMD you should have unlocked almost all your abilities. V is chore to play with though, I wish we could just select the char we wanted but... this is what it is.
Also, if you value details, this game is full of it. It has big flaws, but overall it is a very polished game and an spectacle for the eyes.
I suggest you to expend some time in the void training your combos and learning your weapons, you will enjoy the game way more. I also suggest to remap your buttons, default config is not good for advanced techniques (charging shot whilst using swords).
Lastly, learning to max act with Nero is also important.
