What is "E" (RT) for with V

Well as V you have 4 things to do: evade enemies, taunt, checkmate enemies, and read book. Griffon, Shadow, and Nightmare doesn't require V to do anything.

When holding down RT (on xbox controller), you will begin reading book to regenerate Devil Trigger...
[However you dont regenerate DT while Nightmare is summoned or while pets are on Auto-Mode]

If you meant LT, ... by doing LT + Y(Shadow) or X(Griffon), they will enter into ''Auto-Mode'' for a limited time.

That's why I changed the control scheme to have LT be the aiming button, RB be the Gyphon one and X be the Auto-Mode. Because having to charge Gryphon powers was a pain in the ass so I just decided to have two different fingers doing that, with thumb doing the tricks of Shadow and my index for Gryphon.

Book only gives DT when you read it near enemies. It's like V's taunt but you can walk with it etc.
