How do you put away Blue Rose after charging?
I've been releasing during air taunt to keep him from firing that first shot, but I know there's a way to just have Nero put his gun away.

You have to do some kind of action to cancel a shot.

i just let go the button while doing the equivalent to dante's stinger to avoid firing it, i've no idea if there's an actual intended way of putting the gun away
What's tricky with some attacks is that they can cancel or buffer into a charge shot.

You always keep color up, and dont have to charge it again, butthe old classic charge shot goes away if you don't hold down the button. Color up is pretty quick but the charge shot, especially the longer ones take a little while to charge

Eventually you get a skill to charge the pistol. You should always be buffering the pistol during a fight since it is a key part of his combos.

That can be done by mapping Blue Rose on LB/L1 and Detonate on X/Square.

Map Nero's gun button to L1 and never let go.

Yeah I should probably map shoot to a shoulder button already. I figured I could get away with keeping it on square since Nero stores Color Up, but now that I've unlocked Nero's charge shot I really got to keep that button held. I don't mind tekken fingers, but when you end up using three fingers to work the face buttons, you're probably putting yourself at a disadvantage. I yield.
