So? What's the point of your post? It's a well-known fact that first DMC was "the earliest incarnation of Resident Evil 4", but that doesn't mean DMC and RE are in the same universe.

that’s not the reason it wouldn’t work.
Because crossovers tend go mess with how strong one series or the other is.

Examples: SMT3 featuring Dante from the devil may cry series, Blazeblues cross tag, One Peice X Toriko X Dragon Ball Z, and Marvel Vs Capcom.

What your coming across as saying.
Devil may cry and resident evil are in the same world and share a universe.


The former does not mean the latter,

Just because devil may cry exists because resident evil doesn’t mean they are the same universe.
