Yeah, I need to git gud
Lol....I thought I was the only one xD
but i admit, i had trouble getting used to V early on, because i need to constantly griffon AND shadow...hence why i mapped griffon to shoulder button to make it a bit easier, though sometimes i still forget using griffon, while putting more focus on shadow combos and vice versa.
With V I just usually spam triangle and square pressing them at the same time, except for when I want to do a specific combo with shadow
That's why I don't like him that much, seems like you need 2 thumbs on your right hand to use him at 100%
As for Dante, I've been styleswitching for a while now, since the old PS3 era, so it's not a big deal, I love Dante's gameplay to be honest <3 but I still do have a lot of ground to cover (So far I'm just with 3 weapons and guns equiped and tend to forget some moves from time to time... Like today I pulled out an Overdrive by mistake and I was like... OH! Right! That move is also on this game!)
But also, I've been playing a lot of Nero and i'm loving what I've been able to pull off with him.
Other than that, I tend to just switch weapons up whenever my moves start feeling stale, not with a bigger plan in mind, but I'm also far from the truly hardcore player level of the series.
But in honest truth, Dante still feels like the most powerful of the characters to play, in spite of the actual damage numbers saying otherwise. Where Nero is like a high-caliber pistol, Dante feels like a bazooka in comparison, in spite of my lack of skill to utilize said bazooka to its fullest potential.
Honestly, though, V feels like the simplest character to me. I feel like he's the easiest to get away with button mashing even when not using auto mode. I'm sure that'll change when I get around to DMD mode, but I honestly just get away with far less effort on variety when I play him.
I'd rate difficulty as Dante > Nero >> V
V does not have much variety, making it reasonably easy to rank high without much thought.
Still, it is fun to watch your familiar ♥♥♥♥ things while you read poetry.
Oh, that's the best, when V is laughing and dancing in the foreground while the familiars keep fighting.
