Vergil looks different?

Am I the only one who thinks Vergil looks a little bit different than he did in previous parts? Looking at him it feels like he is complete stranger and doesn't have anything in common to old Vergil, imho.

Probably because the last time we saw Vergil was in 2005 when his polygons were showing.

Also important to note that years have passed and Vergil has been through a lot during the years as compared to Dante lol. I mean the guy got tortured. Made a minion killed and then spent an unknown years wandering near death before finding a way to avoid it.

Him and Dante both look about 10 years older compared to last game, which makes sense considering 10 years have passed.

Yeah DMC character design is much like The Wicher games. That is to say, the designs from the last game or media are more of a suggestion rather than the rule.

I guess it's a good thing as it keeps the character art somewhat fresh.

They wanted to make him look like another character because spoilers. But yeah, it doesn't make much sense after the previous games.

They are twin brothers and it's been said multiple times that they look exactly the same when Vergil's hair is down but it's a game where every character is modeled after a real life actor and they used a russian actor for Vergil, it's no biggie.

Now I'm thinking that it makes sense that Vergil would at least look younger than Dante, though he shouldn't look too different from him. I'm not a DMC universe (lol) buff, but hasn't Dante been chilling in the human world and aging like a normal human (mostly) while Vergil was living in the underworld? As well as Vergil being freshly reconstructed during the events of DMC 5, of course.
