Low in-game sound volume?
Tried searching for a topic like this but couldn't find one. Does anyone else have this problem? I just got into the game and can't seem to get fully immersed due to how low the sound is. Even with the volume maxed out it feels way too low, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

As I said: "Even with the volume maxed out it feels way too low"

I feel like the bass/low tones have low volume. I mean, even outside the pause menu where it's intentional.

Music is quite low, yes.

I suggest to turn down FX and voices, and then turn up your soundcard to compensate.

What speakers, headphones and/or sound are you using? What drivers?

I was having the same issue on my new rig w/the onboard sound, where the music was low tincannish no matter how much I turned up the volume while the voices were ok.

I had bought these temp. cheap speakers and then yesterday when I plugged in the new/better (but still cheap, mind) speakers, it went away and it sounds great now. I didn't change drivers nor did I install my soundcard which also arrived yesterday. Only thing different was swapping speakers.

Seems weird the speakers would have that kind of affect (eg, not just re: sound quality but the volume mixing) but for me at least ... there it is. No clue why/what happened, lol.

Man, I expected it to not work very well, but it actually does. Yeah, definitely keep the BGM at 100% and the rest at 50% if you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

P.S. "BassChamber" [pertinent nickname joke here]

Same issue. I always keep my Windows volume at like 40-50%, its loud enough to blast my ears already so I never go for more. That was the case at least until this game. I need 100% volume to have an okayish sound, for comparison, the game at 100% volume sounds like 40% volume in every single other steam game, or anything in my desktop. Of course, in game volume already maxed out. Its an issue that I encounter with DMC5 only, any tips?
If anyone's curious about what Im using, Asus Strix 7.1 headset, drivers up to date, and I must repeat its an issue encountered in DMC5 only.

what I'm going to tell you is crazy but it has worked for me, in my case I have Realtek and I open the application and in the active sound effect section the option "sound equalization" according to its description simulates the human ear, has been to activate that the sound is now explosive in everything, effects, voices, music, etc ... (even within the game in the options I have to download it because the music leaves you deaf) ( sorry my bad english).

I use a Turtle Beach Z11 headset and my audio driver is Realtek.

For some odd reason I cannot find the option for "sound equalization" no matter where I look, even though I have the same audio driver. (version 6.0.1.8302 - can't find newer version)

If anyone has any more ideas like finding a way to increase the volume beyond max on windows or through the game, please shoot!

I had the same trouble after I received a call of LINE, it's like skype, when I was playing DMC5. I didn’t have this trouble when I was playing other games.

Open sound control panel of windows while DMC5 is running, check sound volume of apps, and revert sound volume of DMC5 to 100%.

I think sound volume of DMC5 was automatically reduced as a result of answering a call while playing the game.

I'm facing this problem as well. Everything's just too quiet, even with all settings maxed and the OS volume maxed.

I believe I found a fix:

Go to whichever audio driver you're using under "Sound" in your windows settings and go to the properties tab. Then tic "Loudness Equalization". That made the opening music for me turn up on my Monitor Speakers. Don't know if it will work all the time but yea,

Maybe related: There is a setting for sound range in the game's audio settings. I feel like many people will set it to high thinking that it would result in better sound quality what this really does it increases the difference between quiet and loud sounds. And loud sounds will be really loud. Like in a movie theater. So as a result you will end up having quiet sounds become too quiet.
I agree with this. I have good speakers, and putting the volume at like 90% is just "right", but it's still too low. And then putting it on 100% makes it suddenly extremely too loud.
