Reason to replay?
I have finished game on Devil Hunter with 3 golden orb and a few checkpoint resets.
It was very fun, but after 1sr playthrough is there any value in replaying but getting more orbs and costumes?

Beat the game on Son of Sparda and Dante Must die. And soon Bloody palace will be added as well. Plus you can hunt for all the remaining blue and purple orbs, to max your DT and Health. This game really shines when you replay the game over and over.

On higher difficulties enemies get more aggressive and sometimes get more moves. on DMD enemies get devil trigger when their health gets low which gives them the same benefits that DT gives you. Basically more content on higher difficulties.

Dmc is always about playing on higher difficulties. I mean if you only finish 1 difficulty, it will be a very short game. You will be surprised on what you can do in higher difficulties because the more you improve, the more you will think the combat is fun.
Bloody palace is going to come in april. And it's going to be full of combat. And of course it's gonna be fun. I lost count on how many times i replayed bloody palace in dmc4. -_-

You also get new skins if you complete the game on SoS mode. Esp if you S-Rank mission 19.

Beating the game on DMD basically gives you god-mode in the form of Super Costumes, so that's nice too.

its understandable that this isnt your type of thing. however to us fans of devil may cry we love the characters. in a way we are roleplaying has them and feel a since of obligation to live up to there cockyness and their reputation. there is only one way to do that. thats to not only get s rank but do it with crazy combos and style. however most of us will never be the bad ass that some videos i have seen people making it look efertless

Gotta get those S rankings. I'm done with Human through SOS, now I'm working on DMD.

higher difficulties shuffle enemy layouts, putting higher tier enemies earlier on and bringing out tougher enemy combinations. on top of that enemies also get a neat aggression increase, making them attack more often. and of course they deal more damage and have more health so that you can juggle them for longer

Of course! You haven't play DMC until you beat Dante Must Die. The last few chapters in Son of Sparda difficulty is gonna give you an idea of what Dante must Die have to offer.

Higher difficulties WILL challenge you.

The entire draw of DMC is to BECOME like Nero and Dante. To become so badass at it that you're getting better and better, laughing at these enemies and playing with them.

There isn't a real reason to replay the game other than for completionist stuff like getting all the blue shards/purple shards, maxing out the character's skills/abilities/etc, or to just use different costumes to see what looks the best to you.

People will try to convince you that pulling off combos or similar stuff so you can brag to people online, that don't give a damn, or to make up challenges for yourself or to waste time playing higher difficulties for some lame sense of accomplishment.

That's a reason i'm concerned about ever replaying, i have my limits and have little patience untill "getting gud"
Will wait to try Palace and maybe unnistal.
