Is there any way to replace music in this Devil May Cry?
Hello, guys and gals. It's been a while since I've used any modes for DMC (not only for DMC, but for the vast majority of titles I've ever played), but now I'm greatly interested if there's any way to replace original music with some user tracks. Yes, I've visited various web-sites like Nexus as well as I've been trying to find any file extractor with some user-friendly manual for so long, but I'm an utter newbie in what concerns RE Engine, and I don't have any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea about how does its file system works. Moreover, I've come up with an idea of replacing tracks from DLC soundpacks, but this method appears to be pretty cumbersome (editing loops isn't a great deal, but other issues...), and, nevertheless, it has nothing to do with background music I wish replace too (for example, in main menu, or in these final missions 19-20 when it comes to fights with Vergil).
Well, dear fans, I'll really appreciate it if you give me some tips and advices (or some links) on how to replace battle tracks, main menu/background music in Devil May Cry 5. Love u all :steamhappy:
Thank you all in advance.

P.S. Sorry for TL;DR.

no way to use any song of your choice or at least that i know of, i think finding it for gameplay wouldnt be easy though as the part of music being played tends to be affected by how your play example an SSS rating would have the music blasting vocals hitting etc while D is just the bear minimum so a user song in this game wouldnt be easy.

Yeah, I can guess. It seems pretty difficult to use these user tracks as it suggests some scripting...

This tutorial has information on how to replace music tracks (it's made for RE2, but this applies to DMC5 too): http://residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/10415/modding-changing-points-adding-longer

I personally made a mod adding DMC4 tracks to the game by following the above guide: https://www.nexusmods.com/devilmaycry5/mods/103

As a friendly warning, this wouldn't be easy for a new modder to do. But if you're willing to learn the process then it is doable.

Thank you, I really appreciate this, I owe you. It's not surprising I saw your mod when I was much into the search for any method to replace original tracks. I think it's the only possible way to do it right now, and there's nothing to do. So, I'm really glad DMC community stills being highly responsive and attentive. Nice to see someone who puts his efforts in a modding community, a lotta respect to you.
