Do the PSP games count? Cuz those are the ones that i tried and got bored with after playing
The fact is, no other Stylish Action game really comes to close to the sheer breadth of options and depth that DMC has. But that doesn't there aren't fun or different experiences to be had with other games. Some that I'd recommend are:
-Bayonetta (sequels on Nintendo consoles or emulation)
-Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
-God Hand (PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, or emulation)
-Ninja Gaiden Master Collection
Others have mentioned Assault Spy, which seems good but I have yet to try it. Some other ones that heavily channel Stylish Action but are more shooter oriented are Vanquish and Ultrakill.
can you elaborate on why DS is bad? i'm curious
it's monotonous and combat and movement is boring
atmosphere is mostly the same and gets boring, methodical = "don't fall into these 2395720375 death pits!! ooh look how much we're pretending to make this game seem hard!"
sekiro is proof of being a much better game
So I don't trust that as any kinda "proof".
Still, some criticism you make here is a bit strange.. Sekiro is exactly like that too, in that exploration is very methodical and you need to pay attention to things before getting into a situation, because what you're talking about are traps / obstacles in the exploration. If you meant that for combat encounters? That's not how fighting bosses or enemies goes in Dark Souls, it's simple, but it's still based on reaction, tells, patterns, etc.
Otherwise aside from the titles mentioned, there are other games similar to this, but they're more methodical in gameplay than the DMC style of being combo intensive.
ds does not take more patience than and DMC game or Sekiro that's a complete myth, it's just for slow gamers who want to think they play a hard game
there waaay too many enemies in ds games with weird attack animations and don't telegraph well, and bosses are often too huge to even see what they're doing taking up your whole screen, DMC doesn't do this and Sekiro managed it better with bosses like guardian ape
alot of DS games just try to have this superficial identity of being hard, when a lot of people that play those games can barely stumble through DMC on normal mode and can't rapid deflect multiple times in Sekiro
honestly DS is a bunch of trash but at least from made good gaym from making a bunch of garbage with Sekiro
