Controller Input Issues

So for whatever reason, despite numerous trips to settings, the game likes to disregard my controller inputs and do its own things. For example, despite pressing Y for melee attacks in the air my controller reads that as a B press and uses the Devil Breaker. It's also begun to randomly rev up my attacks as Nero too.

I've seen a few messages here about similar issues, but I've never seen anything here that fixes this.

I could be wrong but it sounds like you might be using the Auto-Assist mode (where the game does combos and stuff automatically for you with just the press of a button). You can double check this by going in Options and then Gameplay options I think and then disable it from there.

Thank you so much, had no idea that was a feature at all and that's what was causing it.
