Any tips how to beat dante as vergil?

Royal guard obliterates me just in seconds.

Don't attack him when he switches to royal guard if you don't want to dodge it.

This applies to Dante boss fight to. Never rush in blind if he's idling, Dante's gonna counter you straightaway if you attempt to attack him in that state.

Taunts are always an opportunity to attack him, "Trick" and attack him.

Dante is also vulnerable when he's on the air (not attacking).

Still, the most important thing is to read his moveset and you'll figure out how to beat him, once you get a hang of it, you can then compensate for it.

Yamato Combo A while in SDT can reduce about 8-10% of Dante's health gauge, and restores DT when Vergil manages to sheathe his sword afterwards, use it.

Also learn how to master consecutive perfect judgement cuts, it helps A LOT in Dante's boss fight.

Patience, motivation, and training to hone your blade to slay your only worthy opponent. Remember sdt gets you out of his combos after you activate it. remember you got a roided version of quadruple s to combo.

it should give you the POWER you need.
