Soundtrack killed the franchise for me

I've been a fan since the initial release in 2001, even the reboot had some redeeming qualities IMO, but Casey's composition is the worst thing to happen to this franchise. It makes me furious that millions of people have touted this soundtrack as the best in the franchise. If you like the music, that's one thing, but it is objectively NOT DMC music. I wasn't even a fan of the DMC4 soundtrack, but the battle music at least felt like intense action music. This game leaves me feeling extremely unfulfilled.

@Op Unfortunately it's nothing out of the ordinary, UT99 has a better soundtrack than other UTs, Deus Ex 1 has a better soundtrack than any other entry in the franchise, DMC 1 and 2 have the best soundtracks in the series, RE2 has a better soundtrack than RE2 2019, etc.

Didn't know people would complain about this though... I actually love all the soundtracks for DMC 5 especially the recent Bury The Light even though my favorite game is DMC 2 lmao! BURY THE LIGHT DEEP WITHIN!!!!

Idk... While the older soundtracks does feels energetic, there's this negative feeling to it but I still enjoy it. DMC 5's soundtrack however is really done good especially on Devil Trigger and Bury the Light, these songs really give a positive vibe of motivation (even though the lyrics isn't really positive) which I would really enjoy while playing the game.

Kind of agree 5 feels too poppy, but DMC3-DmC sound nothing like the creepy sirens and drums in 1 and 2, "DMC music" isn't really a thing

Dmc 5 is a new era type of game I guess? But I like the changes they did on DMC 5 except for Dante's personality. I wanted him to be like DMC 2's personality instead.

Yeah I like the more reserved Dante in 1 (kind of 2 but he doesn't really do or say anything lol) where he's chill but makes jokes, I don't like how 3 retconned his character in the future in 4 and 5

I personally cannot stand Devil Trigger Nero's music style was shown in the previous game as that battle theme was what he played out of his headphones and it definitely was not pop.

It's overrated imo and poor compared to a number of tracks in the first 3 games. Utterly cringe compared to Dance With Devils and Devils Never Cry for example. The DMC 2 OST in general crushes the 5 OST and it's the worst game in the series, embarrassing.
