Well, you're not forced to use it all once activated with Dante. You can cancel out of Sin DT when at SSS rank.
So basically he has the SSS ability on all ranks. Sounds broken. I LOVE IT.
Yes, but why does this matter? Your Sin DT gauge doesn't disappear after the fight ends. You can take it through with you to the next fight, and considering Vergil can cancel Sin DT whenever he wants, you can keep it for the entire level.
This really seems like a massive case of 'lazy devs' taking the shortest route to finishing off an unfinished game, and we don't even get the modes... Their excuse is current console potatoes can't handle LDK but PC definitely can.
The current Vergil PC mod actually managed to give him so much of what was shown it really puts into perspective how amazing the mod is... as well as how lazy the devs are. At the very damn least they could have given Vergil a regular DT model while using Doppleganger... even if just cosmetically.
It's possible that we haven't been shown everything. He does get one super move for each weapon in SDT, however, so he does get something unique, aside from the added slashes to his Yamato A combo.
In DMC4, his beowulf also had the property of adding an automatic rising moon (his Beo launcher in DMC3) after his lunar phase. He can't do it outside of DT. I can't recall what other properties he had in DMC4 DT, as it's been a while.
Frankly, the aesthetic change, HP regen, enhanced strength, speed, and durability, and access to supermoves for each weapon should be plenty. Vergil's doppelganger DT is a lot more interesting than Dante's, and I think it has a lot more potential for combos.
The Doppelganger DT looks to be exactly the same as it was in DmC: DMC. AKA just more hits and more damage, doesn't actually provide any new combo potential.
I never played DmC, so I wouldn't know about that. But I did see that the developer made it so you can delay the doppelganger so that it waits a moment before copying you, and it seems like it only uses yamato. I imagine that between the doppelganger, the delay, the use of different weapons, and summoned swords, you could probably make a lot of combos.
We actually have been. If you watch that one guy's reveal stream where he goes through the moveset menu in its entirety you can plainly see there really is nothing left to show. Each weapon has one super move and he doesn't have a unique 'Sin DT' section like Dante does.
Everything was shown to be unlocked 100% except for the Abilities section where he didn't have 'more red orbs' and 'ex provocation'.
There really is nothing left to see. We've been shown everything, sadly.
This is the stream:

I actually disagree here. It wasn't shown off well, but you can actually modify the speed of the Doppelganger this time round. All the demos we've seen have just had it on its default where it mirrors Vergil at the same time he attacks, so yeah that isn't any combo potential.
But you can LOWER the speed so the doppel attacks half a sec, or 1 sec slower behind Vergil. That WILL open up a lot of possibilities once the pros get a hold of it since the delayed attack will cover a lot of recovery windows.
