What DLC should I get?
I have the game for 2 years but never even installed it, bc i didn't follow the game story, and I've seen other post that its not necessary to play the previous game to enjoy this one.

Now, there are some DLCs for this game, any tips why I should/shouldn't buy the DLC? Thanks in advance.

*ps; spoiler free answer is much appreciated.

Depends on how much you enjoy the game.
Personally have everything except Red orbs, blue orbs, or generally things you can get in the game by just playing, such as the taunts or super costumes.

EDIT: Oh, and dont get the latest music pack. Its the only one you can get in game by just playing.

No reason to get any DLC except Vergil.

Even Vergil isn't necessary. TC had the game two years before playing it. I'd rather he play the game first and see if he actually likes it, If yes then Vergil DLC might be a good idea.

As people above me have already suggested, play the game normally first. None of the DLC affects the enjoyment of your first playtrough in a substantial way. After that, if you want to keep playing, thanks to your experience with the game, you can make an educated decision on what DLC is worth it for you.

If you enjoyed the base game, playable Vergil is a no-brainer. He's extremely fun to play as and has an exclusive new final boss, so it's definitely a enjoyable way to replay the game.
He doesn't have his own story or cutscenes though unfortunately...

If you really enjoyed Dante's gameplay and want to play in the most optimal manner possible, Cavaliere-R is considered to be superior to the default version, due to the bonus exclusive swordmaster move being much more valuable than the increased super armor of the original.

None of Nero's DLC arms are necessary for high level play, so unless you just want to goof off, I wouldn't bother with them.

The super form DLCs are worthless since they can all be unlocked simply by beating the game on the "Dante must Die"-difficulty.

The extra music DLC's aren't really worth it in my opinion since the music restarts from the beginning at the beginning of every floor in bloody palace. I'd recommend just listening to the music in an alternate tab instead if you want to listen to something else while tackling the bloody palace.

Vergil isn't but is necessary lol. Yea I agree TC has to like the game first more than anything, but answering the TC question Vergil dlc is the only one worth buying because you can't get that one through gameplay.

Vergil DLC is necessary if you're going for 100% achievement completion. Helps that he's also really fun.
