Pretty hard, ones with V took me the longest because his pets die in a single hit as well.

Mission 12 can also be super annoying because you fight the boss in SDT and when the meter drains you're stuck in recovery which means Urizen can give you a cheap hit.

EDIT: Oh yeah unless you're a Royal Guard god, don't even bother using it. If it's not perfect it will always break, drain all your DT and leave you vulnerable to hits.

Hell and Hell is between SOS and DMD for difficulty if you've already played enough SOS to avoid incidental damage. H&H enemies take 75% damage vs DMD's 50%, and enemies not having a DT is a huge benefit since you can just isolate enemies in the air most of the time to avoid damage.

As far as mission difficulty, in general the hardest missions on H&H are the longest ones. M8 and M12 stand out as ones I hear the most complaints about simply finishing. M17's also noticeably harder than other missions. V's missions are also generally a headache for people since V is limited by the AI behaving itself on H&H. Missions 4, 5, and 9 are where you'll have to deal with that.

If you're going for Worthy of Legend, though, then stuff changes. Nothing is harder than S-ranking M10 SOS/DMD/H&H. It's a very wide gap between those and the other missions as well. That and M18 become serious struggles when you're targeting S-ranking instead of just finishing.

H&H is more about utilizing gimmicks and playing smart over playing well and maintaining style. Keeping enemies in the air as Nero & Dante is a lot more of a general requirement unless you can manage to keep enemies isolated on the ground.

Camera manipulation is essential and greatly reduces the difficulty and frustration on all chapters provided you can master it. Basically enemies are passive and don't attack unless they're visible on screen and will prioritize getting in your field of view again so they can attack. I strongly suggested you manipulate the camera as often as you can.

V's missions are more of a test of patience over anything, but if you just make V run around and focus on dodging while continually repeating level 3 lightning with Griffon and Shadow's charged hedgehog you can clear encounters with ease. I only ever really stood still to heal a pet if they got hit or to taunt and try to boost the style meter. It's a pretty lame way to play, but it got me S ranks.

You can get S ranks on a good number of missions while getting hit once or twice, but on some missions it can just be easier to aim for a no damage run to get the big style boost. There's no checkpoints on H&H sadly, but clearing missions without taking damage gives you a x2.2 style multiplier and it can really help on missions where the game just isn't rewarding you many style points per fight.
