Mediocre and generic. Any of his OST from DMC 3 is better in every way.

They have only 1 eletrica track in DMC V and thats the lock & load remix, such a dissapointment but atleast with mods I can listen to some actual DMC sounding ost while playing this.

Agreed, mix of orchestral, powermetal and eletrica is a staple of DMC since DMC 1, the new Virgil theme sounds like Metal Gear Rising, and the rest of the charachters themes are completely unfitting DMC but hey licensed tracks and a more "mature" (cough edge cough) style seems to be what brings the masses and with them $

I don't get what people see in DMC music. IMO it has always been kind of mediocre, but fitting enough for the games. This songs fits just fine as Vergil's battle theme and the chorus is catchy is enough.

There are far superior game soundtracks than what DMC has, not to mention far better bands that make metal, electronic and anything in between compared to the DMC soundtracks.

Yes but there is not a single well known composer or band that combines Eletrica, Metal and orchestral in the way DMC does, there are some other game and movie OSTs aswell as some obscure soundtracks that come close but are often lacking in either the bombastic orchestral or power metal department, overall the DMC soundtrack is fairly unique in its approach lacking as it may be at times in technicality, and thats why those of us who have been a fan for 19 years since DMC 1 feel let down.

Why does it have to be well known? Many Metal Subgenres are niche to begin with and the further it forks down the more niche it becomes.

Also what is considered well known? Top 40? Top 100s
Well known among mainstream
Well known among metal heads.
Well known among fans of certain subgenres of metal?

And beyond Industrial metal there are varying combination of Metal and Electronic music And really anything in between. I've listened to Metal bands who incorporate Electronic music heavily into their own and I've listened Electronic music that takes influence from metal.

Metal and Electronic music isn't a rare combo at all.
