Can't change swords as Dante in DMC 5

So i just finished my part with Nero and finally unlocked Dante but the whole time I was playing with Nero something felt off. I couldn't use my Left trigger on my controller (I play on PC with a Xbox One X controller) but it didnt bother me But now that I'm playing with Dante I can't change my swords because the LT doesnt work. Now I know what you must be thinking "But LT is used to change Guns?" thats what it says in the controls but the guns changing with RT and LT doesnt work.

does the LT work on other games?
you said that RT is being used to change guns, so try reset the controlls to default?
if not try using big picture mode

The controls are default and yes the controller works fine with every other game

Go into "void mode", it has a little GUI element that shows exactly what button you're pressing. That's where I would start to try to figure out what's going on. Make sure you aren't using any Steam controller configurations which may mess with Xinput.

DMC5 seems to be really picky with what controller you are using. Few bootleg controllers will work perfectly (even though it runs fine in other games), so I am guessing you are not using an official Xbox One controller (be it the original or V2) or an official PS4 controller.
If you happen to have a friend who got either, ask if you can borrow it just to check if it works.

Sorry, I don't know whats wrong, never tested it with Xbox One X.
