I'm having a really hard time doing the back to forward moves
I can't really pull em off in real time combat, I'm on a controller (i usually play keyboard and mouse for every other game).

Some of the coolest ♥♥♥♥ is using back + forward OR forward + back and I need some help. I do understand its relative to the camera but sometimes its really hard to tell.

You'll learn dude, it's just muscle memory. It took me until 4 to do those inputs consistently lol and DmC knocked it out of me for a while because I played it so much

Go to the training mode and spam Calibur with Nero imo, you need to be locked on in order to do stick inputs, and hold the stick back for a TINY moment before flicking it forward. Make sure to flick it straight forward, don't rotate it to the front, and press your attack button (trust me rebind it to square, makes it so much easier to jump cancel and play in general) the same time as you have the stick forward.

Forget about Million Stab as Dante, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible, why did they change the input

Wha? Million stab is easy, you just do a stinger and let go of the analog stick. It's much better than doing a stinger than and then having to mash the button which could be a bit janky at times.

Switch to KB+M and see if it fits you better

It is way easier with an xbox stick figuration on your controller, I use the astro c40 but occasionally go back to the ps4 since it is more comfortable.

But in those games you didn't have to let go of the analog stick, they could've just made it so mashing the button and holding the button did the same thing, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with muscle memory after DMC3 13 years ago is painful

Many moves and inputs are different in 5 to how they were before. Doesn't take any time at all to get used to them.
