Anyone else hoping Dante and Nero end up being romantic with each other?

Watching the trailers I got a hint of built up lust inside of Nero. He talks to Dante like he wants to be claimed by him.

I would be so happy if Devil May Cry delves into having Dante become bisexual/gay. It's a dream I've always had since I played the first one.

I'm hoping him and Nero have many one on one talks, and kiss in DMC 5. With the constant progress being made in gaming with gay characters, I'm hoping Capcom can join in on this. I want to see two hot devil boys together.

Anyone else hope for a gay relationship between Dante and Nero?

It's been known Dante has homoerotic tendencies ever since the third game and 100% confirmed in the reboot. I can say with absolute certainty that Dante and Nero will end up as butt buddies by the end of DMC5. If it doesn't happen in the main story it will definitely be in DLC. Capcom has been becoming more and more LGBT friendly over the years and I heard from a credible source that this will be Capcom's breakout moment in accepting LGBT people.

I highly doubt this for 2 reasons.

1. Nero is in a canonical relationship with Kyrie.

Also 2. (And this is the big one.) Nero is Dante’s blood related Nephew. Capcom may be more LGBT friendly but I highly doubt they will cross the incest line.

This stuff is a few months old yes. But this game has been in develoupment for 4 years the chances of them changing it now is very low.

I’m not if Dante ended up with a guy I wouldn’t care If they retconned Kyrie to a guy I wouldn’t care. Me pointing out Dante and Nero getting together has a very very low chance of happening due to the evidence I have from the games isn’t homophobic.

If I had to place my bets i’d place bets on it being either lady, trish, nico, or the new protagonist V. Especially V and super especially with Nico. Itsuno has said he doesn’t want to upset the core fanbase and them suddenly making a character LGBT could do that. But if they introduced a new character and made them LGBT they wouldn’t risk doing that (as much depending on how well they did so.) plus they could attract new fans.
The reason I’m thinking it may be Nico is 1 reason. They’ve constantly said that fans will love her. So if they made her a likable character and LGBT not only is that positive repersentation. It is also a Major character. (Plus she did make a vibrator- I mean “massage” arm Nero to use on Kyrie.)
Or I could be wrong an they make Lady trish dante or nero gay/bi.
Also no offence but I do doubt most unoffical sources for DMC5 if only because 1 multiple have been proven wrong. Also 2. This game has been the source of multiple controversies from Dante’s theme Subhuman to the Microtransactions.

Well depends on how they handle it. If they treat it well it would be the best damage control. If they handle it poorly it could cause more backlash.

Especially if they attempt it with Dante and handle it poorly. DMC fans are still licking there wounds from DmC’s botched attempt at reinventing Dante. So any poorly done changes to Dante’s character could cause negitive feedback. Though I think with Dante if they attempted this it would make more sense to make him bi then flat out gay. Though 1 could easily argue that the Dagon. and the nevan example was just Dante playing along to mess with said demons. But again it would all depend on how they handled Dante or Nero being gay or bi. But if they make Dante gay and do it well I do agree it would be excellent damage control though.
