Sons of sparda. Vergil rushed towards him severely wounded, which is why he lost.

DMC3- vergil loses to dante, he falls into the underworld and goes after mundus and loses to him. Becomes the black angel knight in DMC1 (nelo angelo). Dante defeats Vergil and mundus.

i guess that depends on wether they combine the amulets and the force edge and can come to an agreement on who will wield sparda. if yes, im pretty sure they could take on mundus together, if no, then im not sure

There is no way dante is defeating both

so you think vergil can defeat mundus if he isnt injured in dmc 3?

Probably not alone, but he would give Mundus one hell of a fight. I don't know how much is Dante in 1 stronger than 3, but he and Vergil would definitely win.
