DMD is not fun
Just feels pretty lame and cheap since enemies already have too much health to begin with in this mode and add on top of that the purple aura they gain that quadruples(?) their health amount. im fine with them dealing more damage but even standard enemies turn into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tanks that require an eternity to kil.

They are only tanks if you don't know how to maximize your damage.

Enemies have enough health for you to go all out on cool skills like Kalina laser, Demolition or Showdown, isnt that great? Also use Buster Arm, its made for DMD.

I agree that dmd is a bore and just a tedious bullet sponge mode, which is why I went through it while listening to podcasts and laughing my ass off.

That allows you to combo them like crazy.

Dantes Real Impact decimates almost everything though.

just kind of bummed out at the fact that they didnt make the enemies more ferocious or remix encounters again. always enjoyed the diverse changes in difficulty dmc had to offer

DMD is the only difficulty where combos can be done. its actually the only difficulty that matters.

This.

I'm not done normal mode but ♥♥♥♥ dies too fast. Past Devil May Cry games were similar iirc.

im not the best dmc-player, but dmd (of the "normal" difficultys) is the only difficulty where i still have a genuine sense of danger attached to even non-bossfight encounters. just started though
(m5) so maybe i will come to hate it

It's kind of a bore, yeah. I did the secret ending at the start of SoS mode and it unlocked DMD as a result so I figured I would just jump into that. Little did I know that it was going to be the most boring mode thus far. Not every fight is a lengthy bore, but too many of them were.

Honestly, the bosses have too much HP. The normal fights are the best of any mode, since enemies can survive and demand you actually break out the full toolbox to put them down. Barely seeing Goliath's HP move when you Showdown him though is just sorrow.

DMD is the only mode where I can combo the enemies effectively, really. Even in SoS, most of them dies too fast., Damage output isn't really a problem for me when you're Nero or Dante. Although I agree that it's kind of a bore when it's V.

DMD in Devil may cry 5 is perfect. Nothing can beat DMD in Devil may cry 3 in terms of annoyance.

DMC3 DMD is bar far the worst of the series, but this is a close second. I can see why time doesn't really factor into S ranks anymore seeing as once demons DT, the fight has been extended by another minute or two depending on the enemy type because of their ridiculous health pools. Nero is alright so long as you can effectively max exceed regularly, and Dante is Dante, but V is absolute chore to play on DMD seeing as near every enemy kills his minions in one shot which begs the question why they added in damage resistance for them to buy when it doesn't make them more resilient.

Eh? Most fights don't last longer than a few minutes if you're using optimal strategies. As for V there's no question he can clear out hordes of enemies far faster than Dante and Nero assuming you're not simply spamming sin DT as Dante. With shadow and griffon attacking at the same time, cane spikes flying everywhere and the occasional nightmare summon, most enemies won't last longer than a couple of minutes against V on DMD. Even if your pets get killed you just summon nightmare and they are back again thanks to V's limitless DT pool.
