nero is hot garbage.
ever since ive been playing nero i have felt that the guy is extremely underwhelming and killing stuff with him is a chore because his arm breaks in this game not to mention that his attacks are much weaker compared to dante and you have to rev the red queen 9 times wich takes up too much time to fully charge it and good luck pulling off max act unless you have godly timing.

every time i play nero im just consumed with dread because of how weak he is.

Funny. I enjoy Nero far more than Dante. Once you learn that pressing B when unlocked fires the arm ability without it breaking he’s totally broken. And destroys everything with ease.

Alternatively I’m too bad to be good at juggling Dante’s stances. But V is flat out fun at least.

That's on you I'm afraid.

Nero has the highest sustained damage of the characters, but a lot of that is locked up in exceed. Dante's sword does 70 damage per hit. Nero does 80, 96 with Exceed. Likewise, he does several hundred doing exceeded commands, with some such as Ex-Streak ending up in the 500-ish range.

Breakers do very high damage and can be devastating if employed correctly, but are high risk, high reward. I've pulled in excess of 1200 off using Helter Skelter (with some other features you get later bolted onto it) without using Breakage, and breakaged Boost Knuckle is Real Impact in all but name.

If you want Nero to actually be devastating though, you need to use Exceed, and be quite proficient at it. I pull Max Acts quite frequently, and mentally kick myself if I don't at least get an Ex Act off of every command input and many normals.

His arm breaks? Don't attack if an enemy attacks you maybe?
And yes, manually exceed is very slow, don't do it.
As for "he feels weak", spoiler territory, I'll say nothing, play the game until the end.

im sorry but not everyone can pull off a max act as easily as you and thats why i hate nero because if you arent using exceed he sucks. not everyone has good timing like you.

its not a git gud issue moron. you have to be able to use exceed fully charged by using max act and if you cant do it he is trash.

Use Color Up (and later CS3). I'd recommend binding shot to a shoulder button for that.
Get Hard Way and Payline ASAP. The first gives you aerial dodge and both of them combined are great for crossing distance.
Git gut at ExAct. If you can do that you'll be getting a decent amount of MaxActs mid combat.
Also if you don't want to break your breakers to break, don't get hit.

Then stop whining and git gud. Exceed is pure muscle memory

being good at timing is just like being a musician and either you can or you cant because it is an inborn talent and if you dont have it you will never be able to do it so saying getting good at max act is stupid. thats like telling someone to git gud because they cant play the saxophone.

It's easy to exceed Max. Hold the trigger per press... It's like a motorbike... Timing is easy but if you are Lazy or noob stick with Tomboy
again read my post above.

Just stick with Tomboy... Your sword is always on fire... Noob
lol tomboy actually does less damage than exceed and you can only do like what 3 moves at best with it and you cant lock onto enemies.

It's got nothing to do with timing you moron. IT'S PURE MUSCLE MEMORY. That means that as you play the game more and more you'll get better at it.
And no, you don't need Max Act. Nero has a load of other tools that deal insane damage like CS3, his breakers, DB and DT
