Way back when, I was classmates with 2 girls who were twins but looked nothing alike. In spanish there's actually a separate word for it
The issue with this is in DMC 3 they were IDENTICAL twins, like literally no difference between their character models except their hair. And they never made mention of one or the other being older or younger until this one.
Well, them looking identical back then is a fair point but if they were given birth as opposed to being cut out or spawned into existence one is automatically older than the other, whether they mention it or not
I don't know, but if you shave dante and try to fix his hair i think it's going to be identical. Haha
I can see maybe aging differently playing a bit of a part in it, or perhaps the whole Vergil gets reborn thing. But the "younger brother" thing seems kind of tossed in there, I'll give them benefit of the doubt for it being entirely possible. I still think it's a little weird that they look so different in this one though. Like I said, they have always been identical in the past, all the wikis still say they're identical even going as far as throwing in developer commentary explaining it:
"Ikeno stated that because Vergil and Dante are identical twins, they share a hairstyle in the opening of the game, which was intended to make new players confuse them."
Also I've been spelling Vergil wrong this whole time :D
I'm subscribing to the theory that Vergil looks younger, because he separated himself into 2 and was enjoying the benefits of sucking in demonic powers.
While Dante had to deal with 2 girls/people in real life; that ♥♥♥♥ ages you fast.
You don't expect to look at older game's graphics and say "what a masterpiece" or "It is indeed very realistic".
waddya sayin bruh. vergil always had sharper facial features, like his nose, eyes and chin.
the "younger brother" thing is a running gag between the two of them, dante and vergil both call one another "younger brother"
No they literally shared the exact same character model, to the point that dante's model was used for playable vergil.
this isn't us just saying it. their character models were designed to be exactly the same.
in 4se they carried this tradition on by having nero and vergil share the same facial model but vergil's had a scowl built into it. but it's basically the same one.
