Character Movement controlled by the Dpad Rather than the Analog Stick

Don't know if anyone else has this problem. When i first played the game I was controlling my character by the analog stick now for some reason it switched to the dpad.

Any idea how to fix this?

First thing to check would be if the gamepad has a button that switches those two around. Sounds silly, I know, but just to be sure.

use Steam Big Picture, don't forget to mark the compatibilty of your controller type (if is a PS4, Xbox or Switch controller). After that, Steam will emulate your controller as a compatible one with the game, you may not have problems anymore. BUT, if your commands are still switched, you can change the controller keys on the Big Picture Controller menu.

Resolved: It was the JD Switch Function, a built in feature for the controller.
