Devil May Cry or Bayonetta?

One stars a badass demon hunter wielding two guns who hunts demons with attitude. Other stars a badass sexy witch wielding 4 guns and wears her hair as clothes who hunts angels with even MORE attitude. These similarities are definitely intentional as the same person is behind both franchises.

no bloody palace, no style switch so dmc 345>bayonetta1-2 but part 3 can fix it.

If I have to choose it's Devil May Cry but being honest it's mainly because of the nostalgia of growing up playing it.

Still, I do think they are on par with one another

I though the Alfheim/Muspelheim portals were Bayonetta's equvalents? In any case, hopefully Bayo 3 can knock the previous games off the park. And considering how DMC 5 is going right now, they better do it right.

Both are great for the genre, i personaly prefer bayonetta combat over DMC.

Played all games from both franchises. Bayonetta has the best boss fights and soundtrack but DMC has the more interesting story and characters.

I'd argue that Bayonetta 2's coop is better than DMC4's Bloody Palace. But Bayo2's gameplay is hot garbage compared to Bayo1. The fact that enemies basically ignore your hits outside of Witch Time/Wicked Weave on harder difficulties in Bayo2 make it worse than it's predecessor and all DMC games (except DMC2 and DMC Ninja Theory).

Uhhhh, DMC series is on Steam as well xD. And the entire Bayonetta series is on Wii U and Switch. (3 is Switch only but it isn’t out yet)
