I'm experiencing the same slow downs. Solid 60 fps but during cameo sections even when they're DMC Crew bots the fps crashes into the 40's. Please fix Capcom.
I got random lag when it playing cut scene , any idea ?

Yeah I encountered the same issues. Ran all the suggested fixes and even got rid of denuvo and it still had bad stuttering despite my framerate usually sitting around 60.

I just refunded the game for the time being. Might get it later down the line when the game has been fixed up or I'll just get it for ps4.
enjoy your denuvo :claugh:

After going through the pinned technical help thread. Adding DMC5 to Windows defender exclusion list fixed the massive fps slow downs during cameo section.

Yo, I was having this same problem turns out what fixed it for me was turning my power saving settings on windows into maximum performance.

1.- Go to power saving settings in windows.
2.- Look for the High Performance Plan and activate it.
3.- Enjoy!

It seems that we need the CPU to be running at maximum performance always and the high performance plan sets our minimum and maximum processor state to always 100% which seems to get rid of the problem.

Tested it on mission 17 which was always giving me random slowdowns and breezed thru it no problems!

My Specs:

I5 4590 @3.4
GTX 1060 6 GB
12GB DDR3 1600 MHZ
SSD CRUCIAL MX500 240GB

Give it a shot!

I've had serious slowdown around the sections with 'Starring DMC Crew', even with network mode turned off. Lowering settings didn't seem to help, but when I pressed 'restore to default' - which seems to return to the settings the game decides are optimal - slowdowns have gotten better.

The decisive options in my case seem to be 'framerate = variable' and 'rendering method = interlaced'.

I saw that I already activated this settings so that's not the problem for me:/

By the looks of it, VARIABLE just skips the frames while putting 60 the game doesnt skip and slows everything down. So Im using RivaTuner to cap to 60 and set Variable in game. It is working nicely

INTERLACED just renders half the screen at high resolution and the other half as low res. It gives about 25% fps boost

I tested a lot of graphics settings and a lot of them only increase the gpu load 1 or 2%. Just Bloom, Shadows, Ambient Occlusion really impact the load
