Camera behavior?
I'm experiencing strange camera behavior. When in free look, when trying to look up, often times, the camera pans up and to the right 45 degrees. It doesn't happen all the time, but more often than not, and is highly reproducible. Meaning, I can make it happen 100% if I stand in a location where the behavior is triggered, it happens everytime. Move a couple steps over, normal camera behavior.

It makes me think it might be by design, but I've been having a lot of controller issues lately (since using x360ce and UCR to use multiple controllers for Ace Combat 7)

Can anyone comment if this is by design?

(Speaking of controller issues, I can't use Xbox accessories to map my controls in DMC 5. The game defaults to the baseline settings.

Anyone ever encounter this?)

I have the same issue that you do and I'm using a DS4 controller. Funny thing to me is that the mouse is incredibly smooth where as the analog stick on the DS4 feels almost like mouse acceleration is on it or like I'm controlling a 3D camera with a d-pad.

Well, I'm glad it's not just me, but if it was an issue with the game, I would think a lot more people would be talking about it, because it's clearly a major distraction that offers no design advantage I can think of.

Curious that you're using DS4. Gotta be something with steam/windows and controller compatibility.

Hope others chime in.

I get this running around. Screws me in fights. When you pan up and down, a slight tilt left/right causes it to go full speed in that direction. Since the analog stick isn't a D-pad, this happens all the time. Panning left and right works fine. Photo mode also works fine. I'm using a Sixaxis with Sony's drivers.

Seems to only be a problem when you have the camera set to follow your back. Turn it off in the settings and you’ll have full control of the camera but it won’t default to look at what’s ahead when you’re on the move.

The camera in this game is kinda odd in some boss fight it just lock on the boss and wont allow u to look away is kinda stupid
Yea same issue. I pretty much just don't move my right analog stick up or down at all because of how bad it feels. I tried playing with mouse and kb for a bit and it felt fine, might start playing with that now that I think about it.

Wow i thought i was the only one. I thought it was a problem from using DS4 and DS4 windows. Quite annoying tbh.

Has anyone found a fix?

The X axis camera speed is different from the Y axis camera speed if you set both to the same speed in the game settings. Play around with the settings until both axes feel like they move at the same speed.

I've tried that a few different ways. It feels more like there's some weird right controller mapping, with some odd deadzone

Exactly it feels like there's one perfect spot where you can hold down on the right stick and not have the camera still move on its X axis.

I'm having the same problem. And I don't think it's my controller. Works perfectly fine in other games.
