[SOLVED]Fatal Application Exit
https://imgur.com/rOuaPQz

^^some game, CPU, and GPU information

My game has crashed at least 15 times now, with a 'fatal application exit' error message every time. I have the latest Nvidia graphics driver, I've changed my ini file to use DX11, I've changed from fullscreen to windowed view, and I've tried playing with vsync both on and off. Nothing works. My game just keeps crashing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Still no response, the thread in the troubleshooting also hits a dead end, perhaps describe what the game is doing before crashign? I encounter this problem when the cutscene is changing into one with a heavy particle effect

The crashes have happened to me both in cutscene and combat. I'll try and get a screenshot of the actual error message I receive and post it in this thread

^^That is the error message I keep getting. Looks like it has something to do with DX11 but I already changed my ini file to DX11.

I think it might be because of the particle effect, have you tried lowering your setting?

Put all my settings to the lowest and it still crashed. Does seem to be a particle effect thing though, now that you mention it. This time the game crashed on me when V first summons Nightmare, in the cutscene, which has a lot of particle effects to it.

Can you make screenshot of your graphic settings in game?

I use the same RAM, I'm starting to think it might be a ram problem, as your cpu is actually better than mine, mine uses i5 3330 3ghz

Does the problem still occur in the same place after the game crashed and restarted or not? Because it didn't happen to me again after it crashes and restarted in the same place, usually it happened after I played for 1.5 to 2 hours

There were some recurring crash areas such as when V first summons nightmare and a cutscene on mission 2 when Nero makes a comment about V beating him to their location then the floor falls through underneath him. When i skipped those cutscenes the game was fine but it would still crash in random combat areas.

Try using 1600x900 windowed, that's what I used and luckily I can finish the game

Just tried it at 1600x900 windowed. The game crashed during a simple area opening cutscene after combat.
