I wanted to start a new game AT ALL, for my brother, to not to spoiler anything, but there are no slots for saves or something else, how to do it? Help please, even deleting saves can't help

this is PC. deleting the save files always works.

here's what worked for me:

- disable the cloud saves from the game's updates tab
- manually delete the save files in <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\601150\remote\win64_save
- start the game. play it.
- quit.
- enable the cloud saves from the game's updates tab.
- start the game again.

Best thing to do would be play the game via library sharing on a seperate Steam account. That way he can play it without your progress affecting anything for them without needing to buy the game again

Right click DMC5 in your library, select properties, go to updates (the second tab on top), turn off Steam Cloud Sync (at the bottom), delete your save files, start game, create new save file. If you want to turn Steam Cloud back on, go back to your library and go tick the option in DMC5 properties, it will ask you to sync saved files when you try to start the game, choose the option to import files from your computer.

So I've thought of a way I haven't tried it yet though. If you have a second Steam account try family sharing it and see if you can start a new character with fresh abilities and everything. IF this works anything like Metal Gear Survive you should be able to do so.

SO, i will answer to all of you, who told me to delete saves and off steam cloud. I did it 20 times. It didn't work for me. I deleted the saves, turned off the steam cloud, even turned off an internet, so steam cloud couldnt't work, and still the game somewhere getting my saves back. And that's why I just shared the game on second acc. Idk why Capcom didn't creat the save slots in this game.:csgo_despair::csgo_despair::csgo_despair:

I guess i was doing it wrong and i am too stupid to noticed it. Actually, I deleted the saves, but i deleted them not in the correct folder I guess. I deleted saves in the local files, which is not "<Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\601150\remote\win64_save " So deleting saves in correct folder help. Thanks a lot dude

I'm worried that my results will be erased. This means that in some case my saved file is lost, I can always go back to a steam cloud and download it again? i completed the game in dante must die and i wouldn´t like to loose all my progress in the game.

Yes, you can always go back to a steam cloud, i think. For that reason steam cloud was created. Or you can just save your saves, to be sure.
