Scissor enemy died in one hit? How?
Excuse my crappy english... ^^

I've played to a point where I have to defeat 2 of them with Dante (with the first timed door).
As soon as I thought "Oh no, not two of them." the first one just died after getting hit once.
And the second one had still a bit of health left... and died also very unexpected with a single strike (while the lock-on circle was more than half full).

What happened?
Is there a secret way to defeat them faster?

her mask will sort of ''distort'' and she will have a red ''glow'' around her mask...

Any hit during that time will one-shot her.

I only remember how to do it in the first game but yeah the sin scissor enemies can be one shot with the shotgun. I would look up youtube videos on it or mess with the enemy in the void to perfect the move.

Aaaah ok.
Well, I didn't know how I hit this enemy (Sword or Pistol or Shotgun), but it just went down instantly.
Good to know. :)
I would love if critical hits were in this game too. Instant killing the scissors was so fun in dmc1. Very satisfying. Closest thing probably is using helter skelter to break their guards easier.

It's not random.
Use your sword (or any melee weapon really) to attack their scissorblades right when they attack you.
It'll cause a parry and both of you will be knocked back a little.
Do this a couple of times and they'll go into a "tired" animation and there's a faint glow around their mask.
You can 1-shot them with pretty much any gun then, though the shotgun is probably the easiest just because of the spread.
If you use something really weak, like Ebony/Ivory, use a charge shot.
