Endless loading screen after credits sequence
After the credits battle sequence with dante, my game gets caught in an endless loading screen. There is no crash, theres a loading icon in the bottom right, and Subhuman continues to play, but it never loads anything. Ive essentially beaten the game, but this is keeping me from actually "beating" it.

Does anyone know what this issue could be, and how I can fix it?

But this is *mnore or less) what I did to fix it. Many thanks to linuxbits for posting this: (I know it says RE2, but it works for DMC5 as well, just need to change the proton/wineprefix path to reflect DMC5's appidd -601150). I'm having the same issue. Did you ever figure out a fix?

Edit: I verified game files and replayed M20 and it was fixed.

I just tried doing the same, and it doesn't seem to have fixed anything. Still loads forever. I can't think of what I would need to fix or change to get rid of this issue.

Damn, sorry dude. That's the only change I made on my end, and I haven't found many other people reporting the same problem. Have you tried posting in the Official Troubleshooting thread?

I haven't no, but I guess I could. As capcom doesn't support linux in an official capacxity though, I doubt it'll help, but its worth a shot

Had the same issue, force quit the game, played from checkpoint and that time it worked.
Just a heads up, if you are going for the Battle for the Ages achievement, this bug will require you to restart from Mission 19.

I thought I was alone, but I got to the last cutscene past the credits and my computer took a massive dump. I'm hoping my save isn't wiped.

Tried that a few times, didn't work. Also tried to do it again from mission 19, and it didn't work. Beginning to think theres just not gonna be a solution for this

Same problem here; endless music loop after end of the game. Really sucks cause 32+ hours of flawless gameplay result in a game I can't go back and play anymore. If anyone comes up with a solution, please post. TIA cheers!

the same problem, it remains loading after the battle with dante.
I use ubuntu 18.04 and the game worked perfectly until that part

Followed these instructions to the T and it finally worked for me. Its the same as above with little wrinkles.I still used Proton 3.16-9 beta and did overwrite the dxvk files. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1654060648

NOTE: the differences from the instructions above and from this is step 5 and 6. Each line is a new command.
