Is Max-ACT not working or is my timing just wrong?

basing off the skill note I have to press the rev button after an attack connects but when I do it only fills up one bar, am I doing it wrong or is it just not working?

If it's like DMC4, then the timing for Max-ACT is tighter than Ex-ACT. If you only filled one gauge, then you didn't press it at the right time.

Max-ACT doesn't replace Ex-ACT, so even if you failed to do it perfectly, you'll still get the instant one gauge.

Yup, it's just a very tight timing. Consider it more of a buff you get sometimes unless you manage to master it somehow!

alright I'll take another gander at it later, is the timing when the slice line appear or shortly after it? For this one

If it's like DMC4, the timing is frame perfect

I'm not sure if the timing is any different, but it seems like i'm getting them more consistently than in dmc4

iirc. it's harder to do a max act here but it was made easier to get a regular ex act. i think you need to be frame perfect here.

I was talking about max-acts. Maybe i just got better? lol
