Does the PC version have DualShock 4 button layout?

Chances are it wont. Official controller for windows is xbox. RE2 had same thing, but was moded quite fast. So, Mods is your answer.

You should start getting used to the Xbox Layout. It's not much different from the DS4, except for the A, X, Y, B (X, Square, Triangle, Circle) buttons. As well as R/L1 & R/L2 being called RB/LB & RT/LT. Just memorize these and you'll have one less worry in gaming, because most games use the XB button prompts and don't care about adding the PS button promts. Only game I know that does it is The Witcher 3

Sill don't get how people want to use a ps4 controller for this. If it's the only thing you have or you're low on funds ? sure i understand, it sucks, but it'll do. But after using a ps controller for all of the ps1 and ps2 era. aka most of my life. I then got a xbox controller handed to me instead of that puny thing and i instantly fell in love. It's just a superior controller in every way imo(again my opinion as "imo" implies). Only downside is that i still have to think about the buttons sometimes during QTEs just because the playstation controller buttons have been ingraved in my mind that much.

Personally, I've held both controllers in my hands and simply chose the DS4 over the XB1 controller, because it's much more comfortable [for me]. I think it's all up to personal preferences.

I can get that. i personally don't get it but as i said before it's all just opinions, i'm not going to stop anyone from loving the DS4 controller, guess it's just not my thing, i just like the bulkier feeling of the Xbox conroller. All i can say is, Xbox or PS controller, hope you're enjoying the game. (which should be easy as it's amazing so far.)

It's literally all about preference, the xbox controller has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ D-pads and after switching from Xbox Cont to Ps4 I have never been happier.
