What to do after beating the game?
New to the series, so not sure what to expect. After beating the game, and since the palace thing will not be available at launch, what else to do?

I'm asking this because, right now, the price is a little too high for me to play the game for only 15 hours.

And also, is there a way to turn the online mode off?

Thanks!

There are usually unlockable difficulties and features/items/modes tied to those difficulties.

i.e. DMC4: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/xbox360/938686-devil-may-cry-4/cheats and
DMC3: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/920607-devil-may-cry-3-dantes-awakening/cheats

I've been avoiding info in most cases. Are you saying that it's got forced coop unless you take it offline? Hmm, not sure how I feel about that - good that I can play with a mate who's getting it, bad that when I want to play alone, I mean alone :p

The DMC series usually expects players to replay the same levels again, either to get a better score or by playing on harder difficulties. Higher difficulties often include different enemy varieties, despite still taking place on the exact same stage, also upgrading every character can only be done through multiple playthroughs assuming this will be similar to previous titles in the series. Experimenting with your Increased movepool, tougher enemy varieties and the allure of achieving S-Ranks is more than enough of a reason for fans of the series to keep playing.

I can't tell you whether or not you'll enjoy the core gameplay enough to keep playing after the credits roll, if you do you'll get plenty more than just 15 hours out of it, but it all comes down to whether or not you'll enjoy the game's core mechanics. I enjoy the DMC franchise a lot and I can tell you that you'd be hard-pressed to find combat with more variety and room for experimentation, but that's only because I enjoy these core elements of the game.

This is a really long way of saying "i dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" If you have a PS4, i'd reccomend giving the demo a shot as a small taste of what's to come.

I doubt there is real multyplayer in the game. You ether play with the default AI or recording of other players. I don't thing they will remove the option to pause the game or use photo mode if you are playing "online" with someone.

Go outside, get some air, exercise and try to perform some Dante moves in front of some random people.

Yeah, what you say is backed up by this article here: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dmc-5-features-seamless-co-op-play/1100-6463803/

If I didn't misinterpret the gameplay videos I've watched then I assume there are stages with one or two short areas where you get temporarily teamed up with a random online player (if you are playing online) akin to RE6.

noob, go play the other dmcs
Conker Mar 6, 2019 @ 4:40am
you start again with a different char or try another difficulty setting ;)

also dmc games are awesome for short play sessions after you finished the main game
aka try to get S ranks on levels in a chilled pace

its super easy to get 30+ hours out of a dmc game if you want to unlock everything
