Trouble with Nero's style ranks
For the life of me I can't consistently get S or above style ranks with Nero. I can get S < ranks with Dante and V with decent consistency, but my hands just don't get Nero. Do y'all have any tips? Like, which combos to prioritize, certain moves giving more points, etc?

Move your gun button to RT/R2 if you haven't so you can always be charging a shot. Ex-Act every attack.

Do you use exceed? If not, start doing it. It’s a very important part of his kit, that most casuals just neglect, because it requires timing. Also remember to constantly charge Blue Rose and use it in your combo’s (You are gonna need to rebind the controls to do this) Other than that, try to learn some jump canceling and use his Devil Breakers effectively, as well as the Devil Bringer (DON’T OVER USE THE BUSTER MOVE) And don’t be afraid to use his Devil Trigger often, the initiation knocks enemies into the air (Further up into the air if you are already juggling with them)

Try to work on this, and especially Exceed, I can’t stress it enough how important that mechanic is for Nero, in regards to getting Stylish Points.

Well Jeff, it seems Nero is all about jump cancelling and all the cool moves you can do with it which are hard for a new player at first. But for starters you could try charging your sword and gun and using various Devil breaker arms like overture for starters, which could help you to increase the rank since it does a good ammount of damage.
Also try using air taunts.

Those would be my suggestions anyways. Happy hunting :JackRE4:

Learn to exceed and enemy step. It's fairly easy to get to S with Nero IMO, keep your enemies in the air and use aerial attacks such as calibur and roulette spin. Also make sure yo mix it up with breakers, color up/charge shot, and some of the post-game abilities.

Nero is mostly about Exceed and enemy step, as moustascheman said. The air taunt not only gives you decent style score, but it's also good for maxing out your exceed. Nero's sword swings are slower than Dante's and should be easier for enemy-stepping. RB+8+Y or RB+2+Y (both air) while on exceed are good for enemy stepping and continuing your combo mid-air.

For me, I remapped the gun button to LB so that I can hold it down 24/7 during a combat encounter. The Devil Bringer Buster move isn't that important. What you should be looking out is the new Bringer Knuckle. During any move that is not a neutral combo or while using a Breaker technique, you can press the Devil Bringer button, which will summon an ethereal hand to punch whatever is in front of Nero. Useful for juggling since it keeps enemies in place even if some attacks would usually launch them away.

Easy SSS? Gerbera ground charge laser. Just line up 2 or 3 enemies and you're good to go.
