Bloody palace is disappointing
The first 29 waves (except goliath) are all pretty lame. Difficulty still scales with floors meaning the first 50 are a waste of time. Bosses only being every 20 floors instead of every 10 is a shame. Niddhog, elder geryon, nightmare trio and qliphoth roots couldve made up the other 5 bosses.

Lastly, no multiplayer is a serious screw up on potential. (though online BP is in the code so maybe itll come in the near future assuming it didnt get scrapped).

Edit: I'm adding a wishlist here to give a more concise example of what could've been

- Difficulty setting: It doesn't turn into DMD until floor 80 meaning that the first 60 floors are a waste especially since you're not fighting the bosses at their best. It'd also increase replay value and give players who aren't as good some way to get satisfaction without having the same level of achievement.

- Bosses every 10 floors: The game has more than enough bosses to fulfill this and they'd be way better than some of the filler floors we have now. Bosses are easily the highlight of the game and the genre as a whole really. They're so well implemented that they never get annoying to fight and serve as the best representation of the combat system.

- No weapon lock: Let us use our equipment. If the devs feel the DLC items aren't balanced properly they should be fixed, not removed. Sweet surrender is really the only issue anyway and it's exclusive to Nero.

- Co-op: This goes for the campaign as well but I can't imagine anyone doesn't want fuil coop. Nero's stages would have to be change a bit to compensate grimm grips again but V's breakable walls could easily just be prebroken without issue. Again, this increases replay value even for single player allowing players to go back and play any stage as their favorite character and potentially any future ones that come with DLC or a special edition. Something which was also requested for DMC4 with its 5 character roster and wasn't delivered on.

- Why do we still step through portals to go to the next wave?: This one really just comes with the fact that there's dynamic music, songs starting over again pretty much as soon as you get S rank on the first 50 stages or so is really annoying. 9 floors couldve been strung together in waves since theres nothing to pause for between em anyway until nero needs more arms or you hit a boss.

I understand if you want to pirate to test it. I did it too, pirated it and played the first two missions to see if it ran well on my system, then bought it. Or even if you can't afford it right now but don't come here asking for where you can download the most recent update

It really puzzles me how they just made a carbon copy DMC4 Bloody Palace in DMC5.

The only difference is now we can save and resume later (a really missed feature in DMC4).

Bayonetta 2 did way better. They added different "BPs" with different difficulty levels, and a a co-op mode.

CAPCOM should have expanded BP with more options and "branches"; and of course both single and co-op modes.

Them being in the game files =/= them coming to the game.
It’s possible they tried that and then scrapped it cause it did not work.

Remember, not everyone has the skill to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DMD everything.

Giving us the option to select DMD rather than just making the last 20 floors or so DMD only would fix it for both so I don't know how that's elitist. See currently EVERYONE has to play those floors as DMD meaning those players won't be able to clear the whole thing but if it was an option then losers could pick baby mode (now im being elitist).

There's also code for a dlc named "ladies night" I'm guessing playable trish/lady following their ending.

And there's a single string in the code which you can read with use of some decompilers someone made for REmake2 which says "you have unlocked online bloody palace" This one I actually confirmed myself since that was the part I was most interested in and the original post on whatever thread it was seemed like a fake.

Also in there I noticed V has an unused move called "kiss of death" which is an AOE explosion that requires all your summons to be alive according to it's text

And a "divergence mode" which seems to be the ability to play any mission with any character. Which also has the potential to be coop and will probably come out after all the extra characters do.

Also morrison, lady, trish, nico and eva are all consistently referred to as "playable characters" in the code along with the other 4. Im guessing they just use the same code for all the human characters since nico/morrison make no sense. Eva I could see as a skin for trish though.

It definitely sounds silly for Morrison to be playable. That said, he wears a hat and effectively exists as the 'money' character. Faust moveset? :p

Wasn't it at least 999 or 9999 in 3? Only 101 is seriously disappointing.

In 3 you have the option to skip floors by three different portals. You only get one portal in DMC4 and DMC5. It's not like you actually go through 9999 floors in DMC3, unless you're a masochist. IIRC, going one floor give you a health orb, going ten floors give you DT, and skipping 100 floors give you nothing, but it's the fastest way to play BP in DMC3.

technically, dmc3 was 101 stages too, you only had the option to pick water and wind gates to either get green orb or white orb at the cost of only advancing 1 level..otherwise you pick the fire gate, which advances you 100 levels.

they dropped all that in dmc4 and just made one gate which basically is the fire one, and gave a high chance for the enemies to drop white and green orbs when the player has low health

the best part of dmc3's bloody palace was that the enemies and bosses were semi-random, unlike 4 and 5 now where its all pre-determined,

Yeah no it hasn't.

None of that is actual evidence that they will come. The evidence for coop BP is a throwaway alert line found in the code. Could just easily be a leftover line for an idea they had and discarded.

But people start speculating and assuming all kinds of nonsense because the want it to be true, not because there's actually anything to really support it.

For Vergil, sure we have quite a bit of info to support the assumption. for coop BP there's a single line with absolutely no context.
A lot of you guys really don't know the difference between "unused content" and "leaks".
