Devil May Cry = Dante
Do you also start to hate your friends when they get a new haircut that doesn't fit your preference?
Yeah, there is about 10 missions per character and in some of them you will be able to chose.
But if you watched a little bit of what was showed you would've notice that only Nero appears in the demo's cutscenes (aside from Nico), so it 's pretty clear it's a Nero-only level, and for the same reason, the Dante mission 11 shown at TGS, it's a Dante-only mission.
I think the only levels where you can choose between characters is where there is another character in the level alongside you.

Edit:
Are you serious? You hated him only because of the hair?
He didn't FEEL like a different character. He WAS a different character. And while I myself dislike DmC characters, hair was least of their problems.
I'm pretty sure that that´s actually "The Void", DMC5's training room, not an actual level. So I wouldn't judge based on that.
Still, it would be nice if we could select any character after beating the game or level on that difficulty.
If that's true, I wonder how it would work out for Nero, because those are replaced with telephone booths.
Maybe they also also offer phone services.
Nico's Van was shown to have a tiny divinity statue sitting on a workbench.
Nero
Lady
All I need. Probably end playing Dante more as usual.
Probably same as DMC4 players are gonna be forced to waste their time with Nero and now this V character (that imo actually looks even worse than Nero), basically last worthy game was DMC3, after that it’s probably not worth wasting your time with the franchise.
How does it make DMC5 a not worthy DMC game?
Because aside from the facial changes (which isn't an argument), the rest is just your feelings without a single argument.
Is the looks of the characters the only reason that you want to ditch the franchise? Or you mean their gameplay?
He has looked slightly different, mostly different hairstyles and differences in poly count depending on how old the game is, but his facial structure remained pretty consistent, even on higher poly pre-rendered promotional material, throughout the 1st 4 games, this Dante being shown here though, for DMC5, that is not Dante… and yes looks are as important to me as the gameplay, I am ditching the franchise because of it, although in earnest I ditched the franchise since back with DMC4 since Dante wasn’t playable for half the game.
For me DMC is Dante, this game even goes as far as placing Nero at the center of all covers I’ve seen, for old fans like me that’s downright insulting.
I’m not saying that having additional characters to rerun stages wouldn’t be fun, that is a good idea, but imo all the campaign should be doable with Dante, and even if they are investing time on adding more characters to play with, the franchise already had Lady, Trish, Vergil, etc there was no need to bring Nero into the equation imo.
Someone can even argue that this is the best time for those who are unhappy with how DMC4 turned out to return to the franchise since this time Dante and Vergil have major part in the story and it's direct continuation.
