It is sad how toxic the gaming community is
We all know about their reaction to this but in general, the more I see more of the community, the more disappointed i get.
Red dead redemption 2 coming out only showcased our toxic it is. Prior to its release, i saw people insulting any other game and its reviews claiming they will riot and unsubscribe if red didnt get a 10 which makes no sense since no game as far i know is a 10 (god of war being the most obvious example of overhype and overatting).
The sadder part is the game launches, people give it perfect scores, it sells well but are people happy?

No no no, they get upset that fifa 19 outsold (like it isnt the biggest sports game) in UK. Instead of them to be happy it did well, they start attacking fifa, uk, football and anything they can get their hands on.
Heck some even suggest it will make up when online comes with the MICROTRANSACTION THEY SO DESPISE (not suprised about the hypocrisy).

No wonder online multiplayers are so toxic if you do not play with friends

Honestly, feck this noise. Game journos and "MUH TOXIC" NPCs are the worst thing about gaming. :Miller:

It is so sad, they are the reason people dont like online. The saddest part is even though i call them the "gaming community", they are a fraction of people who buy games.

Like why is it so hard to understand just because you and your circle wants something doesnt mean alll gamers do. All they do react angrily to everything their sheep lords say when those guys dont even know what they are talking about. Attack assain creed reviews, attack call of duty reviews, heck some attacked shadow of the tomb raider and of course, attack fifa (actually fifa needs to be attacked for different reasons) because red dead doesnt sell as much as they expected.

Comic movies are already toxic enough with marvel fanboys and some dc fanboys, seems gaming cannot escape it.

I haven't seen any of that. I'd suggest you stop hanging around the cesspits of the internet, maybe get some better friends. Try not to get caught on the fence on the way out. I haven't navmeshed it yet. Bethesda doesn't pay me enough.
Actually if it were the "cesspits of the internet" it would make sense, this is just any literal gaming video. How would anyone have people like that as friends :steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy:. Heck I dont even play that many games so that is why I am discovering it because of dmc and pes

Also what does bethesda have to do with anything?

I'd consider places like the IGN Boards, Twitter and YouTube cesspits. Bethesda doesn't have anything to do with it. You're missing the joke. It's related to what Mr.Daylight said. That's your first clue. : )
Then the entire internet is a cesspit which doesnt make sense, twitter itself isnt, certain people are. Anything porn related is for example.
Also your joke still means nothing to me. Like I said do not know why you specifically used bethesda

Well internet is losing one of it's purpose as a way to give constructive feedback to the game developers.(Since every game these days has a controversy. DMC 5 had it, AC had it, RDR 2 had it ,etc)

I don't know why you people in the internet love to consider them as "Greedy". Every game publisher is greedy which is why they don't release their games as freeware titles.

And every one of publishers will follow were the money is even if it means abandoning their fanbase. Blizzard abandoned the Warcraft fanbase and made a MMO game which completely killed the Warcraft franchise. But there was no complain about it back then because people respected the game developers and publishers much more back then than they are now.

There you go. The gaming community isn't, certain people are.

You figured it out!
nah, it seems you still dont get it man. while some parts of twitter is toxic and same for youtube, most parts of the gaming community is. The only thing that seems to come of them is outrage nowadays. Both to developers and players, doesnt matter which game, football games like pes, shooting games or even adventure games.

I dont even think being vocal is wrong but nowadays it is more outrage thank actual thinking then being vocal.

Just the same way people who defend micros are wrong for it, the people who defend toxic and outrage behaviour are wrong.

Well maybe I'm just not seeing it then? Regardless, I'd rather the publishers be kept on their toes and scared to upset us, versus people being compliant and letting the industry steamroll over them. The console guys have already given up, so it's not the best idea for us to join them.
Definitely, the issue is people are either too afraid because of some benefit they get (shills) or they are trying to pander to a community (outrage shills). I personally think not buying the game if you are upset with it is enough of a reason for them to ask why, or talking about why you wouldnt buy it.

It doesnt need to get stupid like attacking the devs or the fans who say the opposite of what you want them to say, life is that simple

It's the internet. The internet is a toxic place.

You go to any lan event , and you will see how chill and cool the community can truly be.

It's not just gamers but every community worldwide. It's just way to easy to say ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the internet and get away with it.

Also, people not wanting fifa to do well is kinda a good thing in my opinion since EA use it as a easy to make cashcow. Microtransactions and all. If it were to not do well for once , it would force EA to actually care about the game and not abuse the "ignorant" masses.

(Also I'm not using ignorant as a insult, more so to say that most people don't follow the controversies we follow on the internet. Not until it becomes mainstream information.)

DMC5, people are making a big deal about the microtransactions, but most people really dont care about them. The vocal minority will do and believe what they please. It took almost nothing at all to show the microtransactions are non intrusive.

In Red dead redemption 2's case, again there are jerks on the internet. It's just how it is. At the end of the day , they will fade away and find something else they feel is worthy to complain about.

Lastly , it's easy to remember the bad parts of the community over the good parts of it. Conventions , Esports, communities, even the rise up against EA and Battlefront 2. Don't get me wrong, we have our bad moments, (smash 4 evo grand finals), but we have way more good then bad.

I definitely agree with most of your points, i thinthe gaming community's negatives get shown more since the only way of communicating is through the internet since the only other option is couch play. Movies has cinemas, music concerts, sports stadiums etc.

It also doesnt help that the "figureheads" of these people are terrible personalities (at least on youtube and social media who even fight with their "fans").

Concerning fifa, i dont like, its just like you said, it is a cash grab but that doesnt mean people do not enjoy the single player experience, heck most people i know who buy it are not even gamers so it sounds ignorant for people to insult anyone who buys it.

Yeah there is definitely nothing wrong with people enjoying fifa. No matter what you, me, or anyone says about any game, people who love it will still play it. We have no choice but to let them play in peace.

A concept people dont seem to understand, but no lets attack them and talk about how we are "true gamers" and how they are " what's wrong with gaming".

Personally I beleive any game can beat any big game regardless of if you like or rate it. Some people like fortnite thats fine i dont car, fifa same etc You just have tolearn to enjoy what you like instead of looking for confirmation from people. The same reason why I dont get how riled up people get with reviews. If you like something try it out, if not refund it.
