Ranking the gauntlets (Please provide reasoning)

DMC1 ifrit, DMC 3 beowoulf DMC 4 gilgamesh DMC 5 balrog


My ranking goes like this
1. Balrog - fastest gauntlet so far and so flexible to use, at least from what we have seen
2. Beowoulf (When used by vergil) - Just feels so elegant and clean
3. Ifrit - Pretty cool and my main weapon for DMC 1
4. Gilgamesh - Cool but only great for it's charge moves

What about you guys?

Balrog - got to play at tgs and "air combos" need i say more
Ifrit - one of the most flexable weapons in its own game
Gilgamesh - great finisher and linker for dmc4's crazy comboes
beowoulf - dosnt really do anything intresting that another weapon dosnt also do and better. deffirent story on vergil though

i think it is amazing how a weapon we havent even used makes us so hyped. I feel ifrit is cool for it's time but doesnt keep up with the "CRAZIER" weapons. Gilgamesh is powerful but too slow for me. Been playing special edition so maybe thats why I really like it because of vergil's stance and elegance.

Balrog almost seems like two weapons in one, given that it has two modes that have very different and very stylish moves.

Balrog gets number one for versatility between its jump and kick modes. I then like Beowulf second best for having crazy combos, real impact and other great tools Ifrit is missing, Ifrit comes next, then Gilgamesh in dead last for aesthetic reasons.

Haven't tried Balrog but here's my choice
Gilgamash- Both area and direct damge
Eryx- Probably the ugliest and most powerful 1v1 gauntlet
Beowolf- best areal damage
