Yeah, also recycled levels, bosses, and my personal favorite Faults.

DMC 4:

- Controlled worse
- Awful Enemy Roster
- One good boss fight in the entire game
- Bad level designs

Yep, definitely better right huh.

DMC4 did have more depth than 5 and is more responsive. 4 gravity was also better.
V ain't a good character for playing, or could have been done a lot better.
DMC 4 Bosses are for the most part bad to decent, with the exception of Credo, who is the best boss in the series.
Camera in 4 was better.
5 doesn't have a bad enemy like assault chimera
Angelos in 4 were more fun to fight than 5
Blitz > Fury, because Blitz actually feels like a fight, not a gimmick
4's Faust and Mephistos are more fun than any flying enemy from 5
Hell Judecca is a bad enemy. Not a hard one, just a bad one
Some gameplay issues of 5 can at least be fixed with Cheat Engine to some extent.

4 has very slightly more depth due to things like Inertia, however the weapons and such are much more enjoyable and much more varied in 5.

5 has the best boss roster in the series - every boss in 4 was a bore to fight with the exception of Credo.

Blitz is the worst enemy type in the series (yes, more boring and monotonous than even DMC 2's enemies). Not hard, but not fun to fight at all.

V is a great character; not as much depth as the others, sure, but you don't play as him very much and he serves as a nice breather between Nero and Dante missions.

Just because some weapons are more enjoyable doesn't mean they make up for the lack of tech the game lacks.
I do like 5's boss roster the most too, next to DMC1. 4's were, as already mentioned, bad to decent, with the exception of Credo as the series best.
Blitz is actually aggressive and fights. The ♥♥♥♥ you on about. Fury on the other hand has only 3 different attacks and runs away 90% of the time. That is way more monotonous than Blitz.
V is bad and lacks proper control over the demons. I still have a unused D-Pad that could have been used for some extra mechanics like f.e. formations. I only like him in the story, not he gameplay.
Also the parries in 5 are too generous

Actually, yes, the extra weapons and their respective extensive movesets do more than make up for some of the things that were lost from DMC 4; both Dante and Nero are much more enjoyable in 5 than they ever were in 4 largely as a result of the inclusion of the Devil Breakers and Dante's new weapons.

Blitz is aggressive, yes, but due to it's annoying armour mechanic you end up fighting it the same handful of ways. It becomes incredibly monotonous and boring, especially as 4 spams Blitzes on the higher difficulties. Furies are less vulnerable sure, but there are a large variety of ways of parrying their attacks reliably, making them vulnerable and open for far more interesting combos and finishers than you can perform on the Blitz in 4.

V has complete control of the demons apart from one singular aspect - he can't completely control their exact movements. However, through the use of Griffon's ability to easily keep enemies in midair, the temporary stun/lag from doing Royal Fork, etcetera, there are still many things you can do with V; and his lack of complexity in comparison to the other two characters never becomes an issue considering he literally only has 4 missions in the game (one of which arguably isn't even a proper mission).

They aren't though. Nero and Dante are a lot more responsive in 4 than in 5, because their is no JC lag, among other things.
You can remove Blitz's shield in so many different ways as Dante that don't involve shooting. Yes, Nero is straight forward, but Dante can use any weapon with RG, Lucifer, different Pandora attacks to destroy it. Fury is just a parry, which is so easy to do in this game, it's laughable.
"he can't completely control their exact movements" Well there is the bloody problem. They could also be more responsive.

DK is one of the people who finds all this tech in these games and actually knows his ♥♥♥♥
The game could also not eat my back to forward input at times.
I love DMC5, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to ♥♥♥♥ ony some of its aspects. Hell I adore Ninja Gaiden 2, but I have so many gripes with some parts of it, like the bad camera

We only want the game to be better. So yes, I'll call everyone who pretends like the game is perfect or in every way better than 4 a clown. People have been quitting left and right because 5 is one step forward, two steps back in some areas.
Also pretty much every top player agrees with that tweet. Hell go to any top player's twitter and see for yourself. They are all in agreement
