I got this from the wiki because it states that Kyrie and Credo's family took Nero in as their own which would make Nero Kyrie's sister right?

She is describe in the manual as: Lover, sister and friend relationship.
He's adopted by Credo's family so she and Credo are like brother and sister to him. She's also a close friend and a his beloved. But they are not blood related. They just grew up together.

not adopted lol , the wiki you guys are reading must be outdated and is set before DMC5 came out cause if you pay attention to the details on mission 20 , when nero pick up the phone and call kyrie he said " kyrie , when i was a kid i was alone , you and credo were all i knew " and did not say you and credo were the only family i knew or had , DMC5 's cutscenes are full of references and have many hidden details that require full knowledge of the previous games and anime and a full attention during those cutscenes

Your logic doesn't make any sense, i played all 6 games including the reboot and dmc2 and watched dante eat an ice cream sundae. Dmc4 was never written out of the plot so it can't be "outdated" The dmc4 manual's bio of kyrie states

It says right there that their relationship had aspects of both family member and lover which is just weird. Also he was clearly adopted, how else do you interpret the line "Having accepted the orphaned Nero into her family as a child".

that's exactly what i was saying , the manual was written before DMC5 came out and at that time the timeline was the following : DMC3 DMC1 DMC4 ANIME DMC2 but they had to do alot of changes and re-writing to open more possibilities for futire sequel or even vergil prequel so now the original timeline has been changed to DMC3-1-2 ANIME DMC4-5 and this way they can add a prequel before DMC3 to tell the story from vergil's perspective or add a new sequel with flashbacks to nero's childhood without being attached with strings that could limit these potentiels like for instance having nero adopted and living with credo and kyrie during his entire childhood which can cast out any possible behind the scenes integration of vergil during that periode . anyway DMC5 has opened more questions than it answered and with that opened undless opportunities for future installement and maybe that's the reason they changed their mind about future story dlc in favor of the possibility of a full game in the future instead following the huge success and the overwhelming positive reception of DMC5 , now they even made the anime and the novel official cannon to the story so they have even more story options in the future
