There is a mod you can download which alows you to play some missions with up to 3 players.
Obviously this is real time co-op.

lol. One more proof in addition to that Vergil mod that Capcom is planning to sell the game again full price as a "Special Edition" the exact same way of DMC3, DMC4 and DmC 2013.

No way in HELL this mod would be possible without Capcom leaving some codes in the game's files hoping that no one would notice it. I guess i've made the right decision of not buying the game and waiting for the inevitable Special Edition.

I'm praying for a special edition too, but they havent said anything on the matter about it yet. We could be left waiting for years like with SE4, potentially.

You need to start the mod after you start DMC 5 than enable co-op hacks.
Also this mod doesn't works on heaven or hell/hell and hell.
And obviously your friend need to download the mod.
