Has a petition ever worked to make a video game sequel? I can't find one example.
I know of stuff like E-4965 and Stop Killing Games that try to tackle broader issues. But i've never heard of a video game sequel being made because of a petition in my life.
I don't think Koei Tecmo will see a petition on the internet with less than 100 signatures and think "Oh yeah we are making big numbers with this one!."
If an AoT 3 game comes out it's probably because they were already planning on it. I'm not holding out much hope since i don't really know how they'd translate the anime into "commit war crimes the game", but i would definitely love to have a sequel.
It's just more likely they make a sequel based on the anime's positive reception and fans' demand for another game. Like how Resident Evil has always had demand and Silent Hill as well.
