Also later on more titans in one spot makes it harder to simply circle around because your gear will run into them and stop connecting, so you have to move and reposition.
Its still not the hardest game(At least the story mode) but I cant speak for things like Inferno Mode or the higher rank Survey Missions.
said it again pls after you buy and play this
And high ranking missions, do they increase difficulty by making titans more aggressive or by just increasing their HP and make everything into sponges?
Put it this way, I beat the first game on hard and never died once. I'm playing the second one on hard and have died a few times and have has several close calls. And I haven't even touched true attack mode.
What i want is an mechanically difficult game (lots of dodging, needing to do different manouvers to kill an titan etc) and while making enemys sponges is irritating its not really a problem.
However watching even bad youtubers being able to easily kill titans in one attack worries me :/
the "secret" mission is the only one i felt my gear was underpar, rest the time doing a few scout missions kept me above the cut. but if u can just do the last mission u get access to alot of good loot and gear upgrades so its worth trying even to get a C or D on.
somehow, by just keep spamming attacking titan's nape it will be so much easier, but some titans require you to destroy some feets and hands to let you able to hit their nape.
and ofc their feets and hands are so tanky somehow.
having said that, just like a dynasty warriors game there is some challenge in navigating the chaos to get a s rank.
However, Inferno mode is an entirely different beast altogether. All titans are now a threat, and you need to be a lot more careful. The same two Bizarre titans I mentioned previously are now even more difficult to fight.
That said, just like in the first game, even Inferno isn't anything TOO hard if you're careful and good at what you do. Eventually you start hitting walls due to gear checks rather than skill checks. And one of your biggest issues, at least in going through story mode on Inferno, is keeping essential NPCs alive when you're fighting against Bizarre titans.
I looked up some footage of inferno and it seemed a lot better though the titans still tended to just stand there and not attack too often specially when multiple soldiers were engaging the titan. I dont know if the player had bad equipment either but one titan took like 5 hits to the nape to kill too even with quite good angles :/
Many of the titans are easy, i play on inferno, and frankly i was let down as i went thru the story on the highest difficulty, but then i started a mission, easy titans easy slashes, the intelligence titans show up in this mission, i found my self not even trying, to trying 300% of my concentration, as soon as the human controlled titan started attacking me, i found my self doing extreme skills and quick movements, to just have a chance at winning, beast titan is something else, as he has a slur of ranged attacks, it really is a hard game, but it doesnt make it to hard to take away the feel of you feeling like levi, and in my books its the perfect difficulty
I just hope that if there will be next game they can make it really difficult, cause this game isn't challenging at all.
