Did horses get lazy inbetween games?
In the first game, horses tried their damndest to stay by your side. It was to the point that I could blindly mash the button and know for sure eventually the horse would catch up and we could ride away.

In this game they always trail behind you pretty far. They stay close enough for the new whistle feature to not matter, but they're always too far to quickly run to after finishing off a Titan. They're almost always at a distance where it's much more convenient to do a full gas boost over instead of running to them. This is making the maps where you can't grapple everywhere a drag. It's not just me is it?

I figured out that I can mount quickest by holding whistle button down and standing still and they literally run up to me from behind and I auto mount. Sometimes it takes longer than others and I don't know why. Horse A.I. is noticably different like you said.

oh nice, i might have to try that.

yeah for me I just tap the whistle button until it's close enough since horses seem to be more scared of your created character's face than titans.

It´s better this way. Holding B works good enough and the horse doesn´t block you on the ground at every step, like in the first game.

Yeah the first game the horse was constantly in the way. I notice it stays out of the way, but if you hold the button down it literally teleports behind you.
